Hey, Andy.
You don't know me. I'm Jerred. I'm a dude with a camera located in the middle of the USA.
Almost five years ago I quit my job as a public high school teacher in the middle of the day. I had no plan.
However, here I am. An artist and creative. Surviving.
I wanted to share some recent photos of mine that speak to me. For years I've been taking clinically clean, "beautiful" photos of nature and landscapes, and I love it. Being in nature is awesome.
But somewhere inside me is a big void full of an endless chaos.
When I take photos like these, things are a little easier, so I'll keep going down this path:
There's an emptiness I find in the country. A solitude that's bigger than myself.
I've lived in Nebraska all my life.
I find it confusing and strange.
Dirt roads hide beauty, but also a kind of sadness.
Maybe that's me. Maybe I'm the sad part.
I'm not sure what I'm doing here on this planet. Maybe if I take enough pictures I'll figure it out.
